Tortorano Commissioned Publications of Gulf Breeze, Fla., established in April 2006, provides special publications for clients, ranging from proprietary white papers for internal use to print and electronic publications for the general public.
In addition to providing products for clients, Tcp operates the Gulf Coast Aerospace Corridor Web site, which provides reference material and news about aerospace activities in the Gulf Coast region between Southeast Louisiana and Northwest Florida. The site also includes a jobs section. In 2010, Tcp and associates formed the Gulf Coast Reporters' League, an independent team of reporters and editors who published Gulf Coast Aerospace Corridor 2011-2012, an 88-page book highlighting aerospace activities in the Gulf Coast region.
David Tortorano is an award-winning journalist with more than 30 years experience, much of that time covering business and economic news. He worked for the wire service and was an editor and reporter for several newspapers. He was with the Biloxi (Miss.) Sun Herald reporting team that in April 2006 won a Pulitzer for community service for coverage of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. Before that he was business editor and regional editor of the Mobile (Ala.) Press-Register, where he directed teams of reporters who won multiple awards for business and regional coverage. Earlier in his career as a military reporter for the Pensacola (Fla.) News Journal, he won a first-place award for in-depth reporting from the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors. He also worked at the Northwest Florida Daily News.
